‘JODHA AKBAR’ To Release Next Year
According to Smashits :
‘Jodha Akbar’ starring Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai (possibly now replaced by Priyanka Chopra), which was expected to hit theatres on October 12, will now have to wait till early next year. The film has been postponed to a January release, it’s reliably learnt. Gowarikar wanted to release it during the festive period of Id as his film centers around the romance between Moghul prince Akbar (played by Hrithik) and Hindu princess, Jodha (played by ?). Though the shooting had started long ago, but Gowarikar still has a few important dramatic scenes to be shot. Besides, he is unhappy about certain portions that he had earlier shot. He wants them to be re-shot. The background score by A.R. Rahman is also taking more time than expected. Apart from these factors for delayed release, Ashutosh’s wants to avoid clashing with Yash Raj’s ‘Laaga Chunari Mein Daag’ and Priyadarshan’s ‘Bhool Bhulaiya’.
